Управление нью-йоркского порта. Управление нью-йоркского порта было создано в 1921 г. в результате соглашения между штатами Нью-Йорк и Нью-Джерси. В систему Управления вошли громадные аэропорты Айдлуайлд (ныне Кеннеди), Ла-Гуардия и ньюаркский, портовые сооружения, мосты и туннели, часть городского пассажирского транспорта, ряд промышленных предприятий и судостроительных верфей, т. е. все, что связано с любыми видами транспорта в радиусе 25 миль от статуи Свободы.
